EVENT PLANNING AT BARN EVENTS

 
The Barn, at its heart, is an event venue only and as such, we do not offer event management services, such as oversite of vendor bump in and bump out, as part of our venue hire fees.

As a result, if planning an event at The Barn, we do require parties to engage the services of a professional event (or wedding) planner who will be able to coordinate all vendors and logistics on the day of your event.

We offer exclusive wedding and event packages with two locally based Wedding Planners and, as we aim to support local businesses in the area, preference their engagement. We have worked on multiple events with this small business and they not only have a sound knowledge of the venue, but also deliver beautiful and seamless events.

However, in the event you have already engaged a planner of your choice, we do ask that you notify us of who this is, so we are able to do our own due diligence and work with them to bring your event to life in the most seamless way possible.

Cait Noonan

Cait Noonan is a calm and imaginative problem solver and a proactive organiser - with a passion for colour coded spreadsheets - who will work beside you to ensure that your wedding day is seamless, fun and beautiful.

 

Working with any budget, Cait loves to take the stress away from couples and bring their dreams to life. Cait is most drawn to rustic settings and loves the DIY nature of The Barn, because it allows for every wedding to be unique and to reflect the character of the couple.

 

When she’s not planning, styling and coordinating weddings,

Cait can be found creating custom invitation suites and event stationery.

BAR SERVICES

The Bar at The Barn

 

The Barn is pleased to be able to offer a bespoke Bar area within the Barn which will be available to use to parties from January 2022.

 

The Bar will feature drink refrigeration, cabinetry and shelving to display spirit & wine selections, chest freezer for ice and a commercial dishwasher for cleaning glasses*.

This exciting new addition will give your Bar Attendants plenty of space to mix signature cocktails, pour perfect beers and ensure all your guests are looked after during your event celebrations.

 

*Glassware is not supplied

 

Beverage Services 
 

Beverage services, such as Caravan Bars or Bar Carts fit in seamlessly within our venue and can be installed either in the Barn (small scale bar carts) or within the adjacent yard (for larger caravan bars).

Responsible Service of Alcohol
 

In compliance with government policies surrounding the responsible service of alcohol within The Barn, bar attendants and beverage services must be licensed businesses with public liability insurance and are able, upon request, to present Responsible Service of Alcohol certificates for staff.

Self service of alcohol is strictly prohibited.

CATERING SERVICES

The Kitchen at The Barn

 

The Barn is pleased to be able to offer a commercial kitchen area within the Barn which will be available to use to parties from January 2022.

Our new kitchen area will feature commercial refrigeration, gas oven and deep frier in addition to plenty of bench space for food preparation and sinks.

Catering Suppliers 
 

There are a number of local providers and food vendors who are perfect additions to your event. These include options such as grazing tables, food trucks and commercial caterers. We have worked with the following vendors previously who we recommend and they are familiar with our venue.

Petal & Fig, Hot Coals Catering, Essential Catering & Guys Gourmet Catering.

+ many more. 


Caterers operating from trucks or external outlets will need to bring their own electrical equipment and as a precaution, a backup generator to ensure a continuous power supply throughout their service.  

When selecting a caterer, please note that all requirements in relation to consumption must be supplied, either by the caterer or an event hire company.

 

This may include items used for cooking, cutlery, crockery and linen.

It is the responsibility of the caterer to ensure all rubbish associated with their service is removed at the end of the event.

Self-Catering

Although we have a commercial kitchen available for use during your event, for legal and insurance reasons we do not provide clients with the option for self-catering.

Catering must be provided by a licensed catering business who is able to supply copies of public liability and food handling procedures upon request.
